Dan's Dog Walking and Pet Sitting is always striving to help improve the lives of pets within our communities as well as around the world.  As part of our efforts we are working with Adopt-A-Dog to help find forever homes for some wonderful dogs that they currently have at their facility.

Meet the Dogs

Brianne

Brianne has come a very long way in the past few months we have had her at Adopt-A-Dog. She initially was brought up as a southern transport to a Long Island shelter. When this shelter failed, we took in eight dogs, Brianne being one of them. When she first arrived, she was a little nervous of new people and very energetic without a proper outlet for her energy. We moved her into our shelter office, which is more of a home environment and we saw a huge improvement in her personality! She plays well with other dogs and loves her toys! She can still be shy with new people, but after one meeting and several treats she can be easily won over! Brianne would do best in a home with teenagers and up, but she can live with dogs and/or cats happily! She could be adopted with her best friend Hodor, but this is not a requirement. For more information on her, feel free to call us with questions, or to set up an appointment to meet her!  We can be reached via phone at (914)-273-1674 or go online www.adoptadog.org.

Hoho

Hodor, or Hoho as he is more lovingly called, has come so far in the past few months we have had him at Adopt-A-Dog. He initially was brought up as a southern transport to a Long Island shelter. When this shelter failed, we took in eight dogs, Hodor being one of them. When Hodor first arrived, he was very scared and didn’t know what was expected of him. He wasn’t sure how to play, how to walk on leash or even how to be loved. We moved him into our shelter office, which is more of a home environment and we waited patiently for him to come out of his shell.

A few months later he has come so far! He thrives in the presence of other dogs, and he has learned how to play with toys, wrestle with the other office dogs, and how to truly just be a dog! He is now ready for a home of his own! He would do well in a home with cats, other dogs, and quiet older children. He could be adopted with his best friend Brianne but this is not a requirement. If you are the perfect fit for him, please call us at (914)-273-1674 or go online www.adoptadog.org.

Kiwi and Precious

Kiwi and Precious are a very sweet bonded pair of sisters! They are very typical Chihuahuas and are so full of energy and life you would never know they are seniors! Kiwi and Precious love to go for walks and love hanging out in our yards. They enjoy spending time with our volunteers. Both of these girls would do best in a quiet home together with older teenagers or adults only, since children might make them anxious. They could live with other dogs or cats as well. If you think you are the perfect family for them, please call us at (914)-273-1674 for more information or go online to www.adoptadog.org.
