What is a Pet Care Specialist?
A Pet Care Specialist is the most essential part of the Dan’s Pet Care team. They are responsible for delivering all of our services with love, compassion, and attention to detail. This role is the foundation of the company with responsibilities including:

A day in the life of a Pet Care Specialist
Each day will start with a morning check-in from your manager via our messaging platform.
You then start your day by checking in with our GPS tracking app and start with your first pet care visit. We offer a wide variety of services including but not limited to 10, 30, and 50-minute dog walks, pet taxi services, and doggy adventures. Don’t worry, your entire schedule will be available for you through our Pet Care App.
You will be trained on each service depending on your skill and comfort level. We are in constant communication with our team via our messaging platform and you have access to everything you need via our pet care app on your phone that provides all the information needed to care for each pet as well as your daily schedules.
Our team members are supported in the field by our Field Managers and Senior Pet Care Specialists who provide field training and support for all things required in the job.
At each appointment, you will be logging your visit on our messaging app as well as our Pet Care App with GPS tracking. After each visit, you will write an appointment report. Because this is an hourly role you are paid for travel time in between visits as well as a travel bonus per client.
